Elias pounded the keys, typing ctrl+c , ctrl+z , desperate to kill the process. But the keyboard input was ignored.

The dreamer wakes, believing he has escaped the machine. He does not realize that waking up is merely a change of directory. He does not realize that the dream is not the file, but the operating system itself.
