This paper explores the migration of Surpac to cloud computing environments. It examines Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), and cloud-native strategies for hosting Surpac. The analysis covers performance metrics (GPU rendering, block model processing), data synchronization challenges, security protocols, and cost models. Findings indicate that cloud deployment reduces latency in multi-site operations, enhances version control, and enables scalable high-performance computing (HPC) for resource estimation—provided network architecture and GPU provisioning are optimized.
