Pin Website To Taskbar Chrome New! -

Click the lock icon (or “Not secure” / “View site information”) to the left of the website address in the address bar.

In the pop‑up window:

Make sure the website is open in a Chrome tab.

This method makes the website open in its own window (like an app), pinned directly to the taskbar.

The best way to do this is by using the feature, which turns the website into its own app-like window.

| Issue | Fix | |-------|-----| | “Create shortcut” is grayed out | Some internal Chrome pages (like Settings) can’t be pinned. Try a normal website. | | Icon disappears after restart | Re‑pin it. Or use Method 1 – those “Open as window” shortcuts stay pinned. | | Website opens in Edge instead | Default browser must be Chrome. Set Chrome as default in Windows Settings → Apps → Default apps. |
