In this system, a single Waveshell-VST3 file acts as a container or host for multiple individual Waves plugins (like Q10 EQ, Renaissance Reverb, L2 Limiter, etc.). When your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) scans for VST3 plugins, it detects the Waveshell, and then the Waveshell dynamically loads the specific plugin you select from your installed Waves library.
VST3 plugins can automatically turn off processing when no audio is passing through them, significantly lowering CPU strain in complex sessions. waveshell-vst3
