In 2010, Bondi Beach attracted approximately 150,000 tourists, which was nearly twice the number recorded at both Brighton (around 80,000) and Surfers Paradise (just over 60,000). Over the next five years, Bondi’s figures dipped slightly to 140,000 by 2015. Meanwhile, Brighton saw a gradual increase, reaching 100,000 visitors in 2015, whereas Surfers Paradise dropped significantly to 50,000.
By 2020, the trends had become more pronounced. Brighton’s tourist numbers continued to climb, hitting 120,000, which was a 50% increase from its 2010 level. In contrast, Surfers Paradise hit a low of just 40,000 visitors. Bondi Beach recovered from its 2015 dip to finish at 160,000 tourists, thus maintaining its position as the top resort by a considerable margin. ielts up com
