While other browsers have attempted "sleeping tabs" to save memory, Byte 2.0 takes it a step further. When a tab is inactive for a user-defined period (default is 60 seconds), the browser not only pauses JavaScript execution but actually compresses the page state and offloads it entirely from the active memory to the disk cache.
