Five years after the original Dragon Ball , Goku’s brother Raditz arrives, reveals Goku is a Saiyan, and kidnaps Gohan. Goku teams up with Piccolo to defeat Raditz, but learns two stronger Saiyans (Vegeta & Nappa) will arrive in one year. Our heroes train for the battle. The saga climaxes with Goku’s death, Vegeta’s transformation, and Gohan, Krillin, and Yajirobe barely surviving.
