Serrapeptase - Pregnancy ^hot^

Serrapeptase (EC 3.4.24.40) is a zinc-metalloprotease used for postoperative inflammation, sinusitis, and fibrocystic breast disease. Its ability to cleave fibrin, collagen, and fibronectin raises concerns when administered during gestation—a period requiring intact extracellular matrix (ECM) for implantation, placentation, and fetal membrane integrity.

No human trials or cohort studies exist.
