The Desktop Agent bypasses these restrictions, allowing you to test local APIs from your browser.

Step 1: Access the Download Page There are two ways to get the agent: Option A: From the Postman Website (Recommended)

Go to the official download page: postman.com/downloads Look for the section labeled "Postman Agent" (usually below the main Postman App download). Click "Download" for your operating system (Windows, Mac, or Linux).

Option B: From the Postman Web App

Log in to your account at go.postman.co . Create a new HTTP request. If you try to send a request to a local URL (like localhost:3000 ), Postman will detect you don't have the agent and display a banner prompting you to "Download Desktop Agent" . Click that link.

Step 2: Install the Agent For Windows:

Locate the downloaded .exe file (usually in your Downloads folder). Double-click the file to run the installer. If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes .
