Kms - Office 365
Clients locate the KMS host primarily through Domain Name System (DNS). When a KMS host is installed, it automatically creates a Service Location (SRV) record: _vlmcs._tcp.<domain_name> When a client requests activation, it queries DNS for this record. If the organization has multiple domains or disjointed namespaces, administrators must manually configure DNS settings or use the ospp.vbs script to specify the KMS host name directly.
