Method 1: Using Device Manager (Standard Way) Step 1: Open Device Manager

Step 2: Show Hidden Devices (Important!) By default, disconnected USB devices are hidden. To see them:
Click View in the top menu. Select Show hidden devices .

Universal Serial Bus controllers – main USB host controllers and hubs. Human Interface Devices – for keyboards, mice, etc. Ports (COM & LPT) – if dealing with USB-to-serial adapters.
Step 4: Uninstall the Driver
Right-click the device (e.g., “USB Root Hub”, “Generic USB Hub”, or your specific device). Select Uninstall device . In the confirmation dialog, check Delete the driver software for this device (if available) – this removes the driver package completely. Click Uninstall . To see them: Click View in the top menu
Tip: Don’t worry about uninstalling critical USB controllers – Windows will reinstall them on reboot.
Step 5: Reboot Your PC Restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the default USB drivers.
