Most organizations classify emails and documents at the point of creation using Boldon James Classifier. However, when that file is extracted from an email and uploaded to an MFT system (like Globalscape’s Enhanced File Transfer ), the classification metadata often gets stripped away. Suddenly, a "Secret" document becomes an unlabeled binary file, increasing the risk of mishandling.

Imagine a bank transferring quarterly earnings data. An analyst classifies the spreadsheet as "Highly Confidential – Embargoed." When uploaded to Globalscape, the system automatically blocks distribution until the embargo date. No human intervention required.
